Privacy Policy

Version 1.2.4 — Effective 30 August 2026

1. Who We Are

The marketplace at print3d.works is operated by P3D Works Pty Ltd (ACN 700 291 701, ABN 91 700 291 701), trading as P3D Works ("P3D Works", "we", "us"). This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account and profile information: email address, username, display name, profile image, bio, state and whether you sell through the Platform.
  • Address information: saved delivery and sender addresses, and, where you use address autocomplete, the address search text, Google Place ID and geographic coordinates returned for the selected address.
  • Order and marketplace information: requests, listings, quotes, order, tracking, delivery, refund and dispute details; ratings; and communications between buyers, sellers and P3D Works.
  • Files and images: 3D model files, original file names, file type, size, security-scan status and hash; listing, profile, progress, delivery, quote-preview and dispute images.
  • Payment and seller-onboarding information: Stripe customer, payment-intent and Connect-account identifiers, payment status and payout information. We collect a seller's legal or trading name, ABN, GST registration, business address, no-ABN declaration and ABN-validation metadata where they use the seller tax-profile feature. We do not store card numbers or bank-account details.
  • Communication and preference information: transactional-email delivery, email preferences, unsubscribe requests, bounce/complaint suppression status and support correspondence.
  • Technical and security information: IP address, browser/device and log information, authentication identifiers, security events and request metadata.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and secure accounts, provide customer support, and operate, improve and protect the marketplace.
  • To match buyers and sellers, manage requests, quotes, orders, shipping, disputes, ratings and refunds.
  • To process payments, seller onboarding and payouts through Stripe, and meet accounting, tax, audit and legal obligations.
  • To send service and transactional communications, and send optional marketplace notifications or marketing only in accordance with your preferences and applicable law.
  • To scan uploads for malware, investigate misuse or fraud, enforce our terms and protect users and the Platform.

We collect most information directly from you when you register, complete your profile, save an address, upload a file, create a request or listing, submit a quote, place an order, contact us or change your preferences. We also collect technical information automatically when you use the Platform, and receive authentication information from Auth0 and enabled social-login providers and payment/onboarding information from Stripe. Account details are needed to create and secure an account; delivery information is needed to ship an order; and payment or seller-onboarding information is needed to buy or sell through the Platform. Optional public-profile fields (such as display name, profile image, bio and state), address autocomplete and optional notifications are not required, although choosing not to provide information may mean a related feature is not available.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share only what is reasonably necessary for the purposes above. A buyer's name and delivery address are made available to the fulfilling seller only after payment has cleared, through an authenticated shipping-label download for the order. Sellers must use this information only to fulfil the order. Buyers may see the seller's public profile and shipping/tracking information. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to our service providers, professional advisers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies where required or permitted by law, and a purchaser of our business where permitted by law.

  • Stripe — payment processing, Connect seller onboarding and payouts
  • Australian Business Register / ABN Lookup — seller ABN validation, using the ABN supplied by the seller
  • Amazon Web Services, including Amazon SES and CloudFront — hosting, storage, security scanning and email delivery
  • Auth0 — account authentication and, if enabled, Google or Facebook social sign-in
  • Google Maps Platform — address-autocomplete queries and selected-place details when you choose to use autocomplete
  • Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager — campaign and website-usage analytics when you visit the Platform

Some providers may receive or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they or their authorised subprocessors operate. We will maintain a provider and data-location register, update this policy before enabling a provider or feature that materially changes overseas disclosures, and take reasonable steps to use providers with appropriate privacy and security safeguards.

5. Data Retention

We retain account information while your account is active and then only as needed for the purposes above. You can delete saved addresses in the Platform; deleted addresses are removed from active use. Buyer and sender addresses are removed from the live order record 30 days after delivery, including if an order is later disputed. Order, payment, dispute, security and accounting records may be retained for at least 5 years, and invoice records may be retained for up to 7 years, to meet tax, audit, legal and dispute obligations. Uploaded model files are automatically deleted after 5 years; security-quarantine copies expire much sooner. Backups and records that we must retain may persist for a limited period after an account-deletion request.

6. Your Rights

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete information where we no longer need or are not required to retain it. Please email [email protected] with enough information to identify your account and request. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We aim to respond within 30 days. You may use account settings to update your profile, saved addresses and email preferences where those features are available.

7. Cookies

We use essential browser storage and cookies to operate the Platform, including to maintain login state and remember a request-form preference. Google Analytics 4 loads through Google Tag Manager when you visit the Platform. Google may set or read analytics cookies and process campaign parameters, device and usage information to help us understand campaign and website performance. You can limit analytics using your browser's cookie and privacy controls or a content blocker; doing so does not affect core Platform functionality.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law changes. We will publish the revised version and effective date here and, for material changes, give reasonable advance notice by email or through the Platform where practicable.

9. Privacy Complaints and Contact

For an enquiry, access/correction request or privacy complaint, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy request” or “Privacy complaint”. Please describe the issue and include relevant dates, your account email and the outcome you seek. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it and provide a written response within 30 days where practicable.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
